Ever since we started our Patreon in February, we’ve been nothing but overwhelmed by your ever growing support.
We want to take this post to reiterate your benefits of subscribing, what your contribution helps us with and to address some of the concerns people have brought forward.
Firstly, your contribution grants you access to our Discord server. This translates to receiving test results earlier than everyone else.
You will also get early insights into ongoing tests, partake in discussions about all things game preservation and catch physical release announcements.
In addition, all Patrons receive a monthly recap every first weekend of the month. In this compact report, we once again list all newly added test reports of the past month.
What does your contribution go to?
So far, almost the entirety of the donations has gone towards infrastructure cost. Namely the hosting of our website and our database.
Contrary to some malicious claims, we have not filled the shelves of our personal collections through your generous support.
In fact, we only ever once had enough to source a game for our testing (Summer in Mara Switch).
That being said, with your growing support, we fully plan on mitigating acquisition costs in the future.
Since we are a team of multiple passionate individuals around the globe, we will ensure that everyone equally benefits from your generosity. This project has always been about providing valuable information to the public and never about personal gain.
As we all do this in our spare time, creating further benefits and justified premium tiers will take us more time, but we plan on expanding our offer in the future.
